During our initial consultation we will discuss how to best care for your window, and the space, time, and budget constraints of the project. Minor repairs may be done in place, but most work requires removing the windows for work to be done in the studio.

We lay out the panel on the workbench and make a rubbing of the leadwork, so that we can put it back together quickly and precisely. Broken pieces are counted and lead size is noted.

The panel is then taken apart piece by piece, the old lead is disposed of and the glass is carefully cleaned.

Broken pieces are accounted for and decisions are made about whether a piece can be glued together with hxtal, or needs to be replaced with the closest available match.

Once rebuilt, the panel is reattached to its support bars. If it came with a frame, the frame is sanded and re-primed to be as good as new.
